“I’ve been inspired by my years of living in the Rocky Mountains, by time spent in Michigan’s north country, and by the woods surrounding our Ann Arbor home. The natural areas of our state and country have shaped my love of beauty and my interest in creating art… along with developing my deep desire to support protecting our environment. In 2016 I attended a presentation at Ann Arbor’s Michigan Theatre about Enbridge Line 5, the oil pipeline running under the Straits of Mackinac, and was moved to express in art my appreciation and concern for the precious area near the Mackinac Bridge.”
